Jennifer Lopez channeled a fellow music legend on Halloween, wearing a revealing white wedding dress as she turned into Madonna from her iconic “Like A Virgin” performance.

The 51-year-old singer and actress took to Instagram to share some revealing glimpses of the outfit. In a series of posts, she showed off the cleavage-baring white dress and 1980s-style hair and makeup that added to the look. Lopez wore large star earrings and white pearls, with the see-through dress showing the thigh-high white stockings she had on underneath.

It appeared to be more than just a costume, with one series of snaps showing Lopez clutching a microphone and giving a sultry performance that matched Madonna’s singing of “Like A Virgin.” Lopez even wore a buckle around her midsection with the words “BOY TOY,” matching the one that Madonna wore in a long necklace for the music video and performance at the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards, which had her breaking out some sultry dance moves on stage while wearing a full wedding veil.

The Halloween look was a huge hit with Lopez’s 133.2 million followers, with the pictures racking up hundreds of thousands of likes and attracting a number of compliments. Some thought she did a great job of pulling off the costume, leaving compliments for her age-defying good looks.

“THE HOTTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD,” one person wrote.

“You look stunning!!!!” another added.

“Omgg you killing it with this costume Queen love youuuu,” shared another fan.

The racy snaps attracted some attention beyond social media, with The Daily Mail reporting on the outfit and noting that she and Alex Rodriguez appeared to coordinate their costumes this year. While Lopez paid tribute to one of the most iconic songs on the 1980s, her fiance tapped another top musician of the decade as he dressed like Bruce Springsteen.

Many of Lopez’s fans seemed to appreciate the coordinated outfits, with many leaving compliments on both of their looks. The pictures shared on Instagram showed that the two were together at a party, with black and orange balloons being seen in the background of some of the shots.

That included a racy clip that Rodriguez posted last month that showed Lopez dancing by the side of a pool while wearing a black sports bra and showing off her well-toned physique.

Report: Huawei readying Chinese-based chipset plant to skirt US sanctions - Android Authority

Huawei is readying plans for a dedicated chipset fabrication plant for its telecoms business in Shanghai that would bypass US sanctions, according to a report by the Financial Times (FT).

Per the FT, the plant would be run on Huawei’s behalf by a Shanghai-based R&D business backed by the local government. It would also not employ any technology of US origin. Although this is key to Huawei’s future, the lack of any US involvement means it would start years behind established chip builders like TSMC and Samsung.

The plant will apparently begin crafting chips based on the 13-year-old 45nm process, with 28nm chipsets following by the end of 2021. At this node size, Huawei plans to build IoT hardware. By 2022, it’s targeting the 20nm process, which would allow it to build 5G base station chipsets for its telecoms division.

It’s far from ideal, but the plan is largely based on necessity. The company’s chipset stockpile garnered since 2019 has run dry, the FT reports.

The plant would not build competitive chipsets for the company’s smartphones, at least not any time soon. The Kirin 9000 uses a 5nm node — a distant pipe dream for the Shanghai plant. Most of Huawei’s mid-range chips are built on the 14nm process. Judging by the plant’s rumored roadmap, Huawei may only have competitive self-produced chipsets for its smartphones at the back-end of this decade.

So the plant is by no means an instant fix for Huawei. It is, however, a long-term investment. Should the plant’s development progress as planned, the company would eventually have an alternative chipset provider that skirts US sanctions. This is at least true for its telecoms division. If not, it’s back at square one. There’s really nothing to lose at this point.

There is some hope for Huawei though. Suppliers have gradually acquired licenses from the US to supply the company’s smartphone division with components, including displays, camera sensors, and some chipsets for its mobile devices. But its 5G business remains trapped by the ongoing trade dispute. The plant, albeit a slow burner, could be key to its long-term survival.

Serena Williams seems to look good in just about anything. On Sunday, the tennis superstar took to her Instagram to show off her new favorite red boots while also rocking a short skirt.

The mom of one appeared to be happy and relaxed as she chilled next to a pool while sitting in a black wicker egg-shaped chair. The pattern of the chair had the illusion of spider webs all intricately spun together. It was held onto the matching stand by a chain attached to the top. Serena relaxed on it wearing a white short-sleeve top with a V-neckline that dipped down low enough to reveal a very slight hint of cleavage. It was snug enough to accentuate her full bosom. The top was tucked into a diamond-patterned mini-skirt that had different shades of red, as well as pink and white mixed in. The garment was short enough to expose Serena’s sculpted thighs.

The highlight of the chic outfit were the gorgeous red knee-high boots by shoe designer Stuart Weitzman. The thin high heels and pointed toes were perfect for either dressing up or going casual as Serena did in the Instagram snap. She showed off the footwear by extending one of her legs out in front of her, while the other one was bent and displayed behind it. The tennis star indicated in the caption that she really loved them. She looked flawless in the whole ensemble.

Serena’s arms were relaxed down by her side and she smiled big as the photo was being taken. Her brown curly tresses were worn down and flowed down around her shoulders. The 39-year-old Grand Slam champ accessorized the outfit with a gold watch and a bracelet on the same wrist. She also sported two rings on her fingers and a short chain necklace.

Her chair was situated right next to a pool with water that sparkled in the sunlight. There were a few trees seen in the picture behind her.

She certainly seemed to wow her 12.7 million Instagram followers. The post was a huge hit as she received over 73,000 likes in the first two hours after she shared it. The comments came in quickly gushing over her style.

“Those boots are hot,” an admirer noted.

“Rocking that look without a shadow of a doubt,” a second person said.

“Boss lady being so feminine and elegant,’ said a third fan.

Serena appeared to be wearing the exact same crimson footwear in another photo. Only this time she paired them with a revealing black swimsuit that reflected how fit and toned her body is. She also wore a long sleek ponytail as she posed.

Morning light streams into AnaKacia Shifflet’s clean, spare shop off Main Street in Rye.

Your eyes land on the racks of lacy and shiny wedding dresses in shades of white, mauve, taupe and even light cornflower blue. This is a space where dreams come true, where blushing brides come together with Shifflet, a lifelong seamstress, to imagine the fantastical dress they’ll wear for that long-anticipated walk down the aisle, mountain path or sandy beach to exchange rings and vows with their beloved.

The past seven months has not been good to those hopeful brides, though, nor the billion-dollar global wedding industry. Many couples were forced to postpone their weddings until later this year or next year. Recently, though, Shifflet has seen her brides moving forward.

“The girls that are going ahead with their wedding, they’re being super creative and either eloping in the mountains or having a cool party at their ranch,” she says. “The girls who are going ahead are a lot more excited and calm. It’s like a release. The girls who are waiting until next year seem really frustrated.”

Rye resident Ann Lisac is one of those brides no longer waiting. Canceling her May wedding was heartbreaking, she says, but the couple decided to go for it last month in an outdoor ceremony.

“We felt like there weren’t a lot of cases of COVID in the community. I don’t know if there was even one,” Lisac says. “We were waiting and waiting and worried if we continued to wait there would be a resurgence and it would be longer.”

Shifflet encourages couples to tie the knot sooner rather than later, even if it’s a small shindig.

“If they want to do a big party next year, do it,” she says. “But why not go ahead and get married? There’s something special about it being more intimate anyway.”

The virus didn’t stop Shifflet from designing and creating her signature wedding dresses, something she’s done for about 15 years for friends and family and others through word of mouth. In 2015, she made it official and opened her own shop, Averil Marie Collections, and now has a second location at Al’s Formal Wear in Denver.

Since then, she’s made between 400 and 500 wedding dresses. Each one takes about 80 hours, though she likes to have three to six months to make sure the fabrics come in from all around the world. There’s lace from France, Germany and Milan, Italy. Those are the priciest. Less expensive choices come from the U.S. or China. On average, her dresses cost $2,500. Her priciest concoction? $7,000. Her most affordable? $800.

Shifflet’s dresses are singular in that many of them come with two parts: classic pieces underneath, such as a skirt and corset or a slip dress, and another dress that goes on top that she calls an overlay. The overlay can be easily pulled off to allow the bride a chance to mix up her look between ceremony and reception.

When she opened her shop, Shifflet designed a customizable line that allows brides to mix and match bodice style, skirt shape and overlays. It was a way to provide visual images for those who couldn’t quite picture what they wanted.

“I haven’t seen anything else like the two pieces,” she says. “That’s the side of me that says it’s so sad you only wear your dress one time. I wanted to change that, so you can use it again.”

The designer has always had a thing for dresses, going back to childhood, when her mom got her sewing lessons around 7 or 8. After graduating from high school in Salt Lake City, Utah, she attended the city’s Fashion Institute before moving to Rye with her husband 17 years ago and having four children.

More than anything, she wants her brides to also have a love affair with their dress. Perhaps this comes from her own wedding dress experience all those years ago. She designed it with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves with a cuff and a full ballgown, but had somebody else make it. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite fit.

“People who sew are different from those who can construct a wedding dress,” Shifflet says. “When I look back, it was those missing components that made it fit well.”

Which leads to her passion for perfection today. She advises brides to slow down and not rush the process. To take the time to study the different styles, and which ones they like on themselves. It’s also important to take the wedding venue into consideration. Different styles go better with an outdoor versus an indoor ceremony.

“If they try on dresses, don’t let somebody push them into a style they don’t love,” she says. “I feel bad for the girls who end up with a dress they’re not in love with. A lot of girls just settle. I want them to get what they want and feel so beautiful in it and absolutely love it.”

Styled by her trusted stylist Karl Willett, Amanda looked stunning as she posed on the stairs in a black sequinned mini dress, which featured detachable long sleeves, a cut-out neckline and a flared skirt – the perfect vampy yet glam outfit for the spooky season!

Although her outfit was not as Halloween-themed as her daughter's, that didn't stop Amanda's followers from praising her look. "Love the jacket where is it from?" one asked, while another wrote: "You look gorgeous."

Meanwhile, the Britain's Got Talent star pulled out all the stops on Friday when she dressed up as none other than Carole Baskin, with a pink floral top and flower crown.

Tyler Perry's girlfriend, Gelila Bekele looked fashionable yet cozy in a thick blue jacket as she smiled for a mirror selfie.

Gelila Bekele recently posted an Instagram story showing her unique sense of style as she donned a cozy navy blue fur coat, skin-tight leggings topped by a skirt, and a Hug McCloud signature cap. 

She stood tall in knee-high boots as she snapped for the mirror selfie. Bekele is known to be Tyler Perry's girlfriend but is more than just a pretty face dating the humanitarian advocate and self-made producer, actor, and writer.

The 30-year old is known for being a model and has been in the industry for 14 years, beginning her career with Ford Models. Beyond her career on the catwalk, being born and raised in Ethiopia, Bekele does good to represent her people. 

The mother-of-one authored a book titled "Gozu" and highlighted that its pages focused on showcasing her people's customs, culture, religion, and various ways of living.

Bekele's attempts to represent women extend to those worldwide as she fights for the equality and access to education of many. In the past, the model-activist has participated in advocacies such as the Women's March in Washington.

Perry and Bekele are aware of the importance of educating their child to bring the hope of ending the division and hate that comes with the system.

Bekele shares a son with Perry named Aman, who is now five years old. With the racial society of America, Perry intended to discuss with his child the harsh topic of racism.

"I know that as his father, a black man in America, it is my duty to prepare him for the harsh reality that awaits him outside of the watchful eyes of his loving parents," said the loving father. He described the upcoming moment to be truly heartbreaking yet essential.

With the presence of recent brutalities and the rise of Black Lives Matter movements, as parents, both Perry and Bekele are aware of the importance of educating their child to bring the hope of ending the division and hate that comes with the system. 

"I'm exhausted from seeing these kinds of senseless murders play out over and over again with nothing changing in our society," emphasized Perry. 

In previous months, amid the rising protests for George Floyd's brutal murder, Perry revealed that he got in touch with the victim's family and tried to bring comfort to their days.

He, as well as Floyd's family, hoped for a peaceful protest as a means of making a statement and allowing non-Black Americans to understand the pressing need for a change in the country.
