WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — The Habitat for Humanity build team “High Heels, Hard Hats, and Homes” will host a fundraiser garage and plant sale from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday (today) and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 24, at the CSTea House at 357 Gould St, one block west of Cotter Schools.
The team is raising for the next Habitat house to be built in Winona. The house will become a home for the Skappels, a hardworking family with four children.
Construction will begin in August.
“Please wash your hands, grab a mask and head over for some great deals,” a High Heels team member said.
Habitat build teams provide a great way for companies, organizations, congregations, service groups and social circles to give back to the community and share the Habitat mission of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Anyone interested in starting a team can email Jessi Darst, Habitat for Humanity’s volunteer and marketing coordinator, at volunteer@habitatwinona.org.
