Mendes has a supporting role in the film Palm Springs which set a record for a new release on streaming platform Hulu this past weekend.
IndieWire reported Tuesday that the comedy starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti netted more hours watched over its first three days than any other film on Hulu over the same period.
In echoes of Groundhog Day, Palm Springs centers on two wedding guests, played by Samberg and Milioti, who are forced to relive the same day over and over again.
In addition to Mendes, the supporting cast also includes J.K. Simmons and Peter Gallagher.
