From wrap dresses and cowboy boots to colourful checked prints and seersucker fits, Danish label Ganni knows a thing or two about creating pieces that have the ability to go viral and achieve cult status on the fashion scene. This summer, it appears that the brand has done it again with a voluminous monochrome dress that has been taking over Instagram in recent weeks.
The dress in question is a black-and-white polka-dot design which features a tent-style shape and is made from recycled polyester, making it one of the sustainable brand's most eco-friendly choices of the season. Seen on various fashion faces during Copenhagen Fashion Week recently, the dress has also become one of the most prevalent designs on Instagram this month.
The brand told us that the dress has been one of its top sellers this season with many enquiries to restock – and it's not difficult to see why customers are choosing to invest in this particular style. As demonstrated by many of the stylish women below, the polka-dot dress is not only a great option for summer, but has the versatility that many of us are looking for with pieces that will work year-round. A dress that can be layered or worn bare, teamed with chunky sandals as well as boots and worn dressed-down for the day or given an evening twist, is an investment worth making.

This is of course not the first monochrome polka-dot dress to have achieved cult status. Zara's hit style became so popular last summer that it earned its very own Instagram account. At a higher price point, it's likely that this Ganni style won't reach quite this level of popularity, however it is well on its way to becoming the dress of the summer (and could well rule the autumn too).
