Marina Iqbal of the Pakistan women’s cricket team has a unique distinction in the country. The 33-year-old is the first woman cricketer who is also a commentator and she is currently on duty in the ongoing National T20 Cup held in Multan and Rawalpindi. Marina Iqbal is breaking new ground when it comes to cricket and broadcasting in Pakistan. However, in a recent match, she was trolled by one user by the name of Qadir Khawaja who questioned that how could she wear high heels while being on the pitch.
However, Marina Iqbal came back with a fitting retort. On her Twitter handle, she shared photos from various angles that showed her wearing flat heels while being on the main pitch and during the pre-match as well as post-match session, she had switched to wearing high heels.

“Half knowledge can be dangerous Qadir. It's flats on pitch and heels in pre match. I am a former Pakistan player, I know the protocols,” Marina Iqbal tweeted.

Her final match was against New Zealand in the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup encounter in Taunton and after that event, she announced his retirement. Marina Iqbal then went into commentary and her first series was between Pakistan and Australia which was played in Malaysia in 2018.
Her move into the commentary box made her the first women cricketer from Pakistan to take this route and on her commentary debut, she won plenty of accolades and congratulations, with former Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez leading the way.
