After continually serving up iconic looks at countless red carpets, and even the homecoming dance, it's safe to say that Storm Reid is a certified style icon. Fans have already seen her conquer the runway and star in a Miu Miu campaign, but as she revealed, her off-duty modeling look comes with a little less glam.
Speaking recently with Fashionista, Storm shared that her OOTD is usually centered around a good pair of sneakers and the perfect jeans. She admitted that her mood and the weather play a big part in her daily outfit selection, and some looks will never go out of style. “I think most of the time, you'll catch me in some really, really cool sneakers, because I'm a sneakerhead. It doesn't really matter what I'm wearing, shirt-wise — it could just be a long shirt or a white tee, as long as my jeans and my sneakers are cool, most importantly, I feel pretty confident,” she said.
Storm shared that she currently has around 65 pairs of sneakers to choose from, and she's constantly swapping out which shoes she's wearing, saying, “Whether I'm going out with friends to eat or going out with my family to eat, I just throw on a cool pair of sneakers, because I don't want to waste my money. I'm going to get my money's worth.”
Mixing her sneakers with jeans from Reformation and Levi's, Storm also shared her love for workout gear and pajamas from Aerie. When it comes time to making the all important purchasing decision, she turns to her trusted style squad: her family. “I consult with my mom and my sister the most [when I shop.] But when it comes to sneakers, I consult my brother, because he loves sneakers as well. He'll send me sneaker news apps and pictures of sneakers that he likes and that he thinks I would like,” she told Fashionista.
She also trusts her own instincts on styling, saying that she's always loved putting outfits together. “Even when I was in middle school and had to wear uniforms, I made sure I would wear skirts and, of course, a collared shirt with long, funky socks and a really cool pair of sneakers, just to let people know that I'm in the building — yes, this is school, but I can still be fashionable. I think fashion's about taking up space and making yourself feel as big or as small as you want,” she said.
