When stepping out to perform the national anthem at the 2021 inauguration of President Joe Biden and Madam Vice President Kamala Harris, the Grammy-winning artist dazzled in a custom Schiaparelli gown. Per Harper's Bazaar, the Daniel Roseberry-designed ensemble included a fitted navy jacket and a voluminous skirt made of red silk faille. On her jacket, the singer wore a large gilded dove of peace brooch, sending a very clear message, which she reiterated on Twitter.

To complete the look, Gaga styled her hair in a crown braid woven with a black ribbon.

When Twitter caught a glimpse of Gaga's outfit as she walked with U.S. Marine escort Capt. Evan Campbell, viewers immediately started throwing out compliments. "This outfit really says LADY Gaga. American royalty," one viewer tweeted."But can we take a moment for @ladygaga’s outfit?! And voice. #Inauguration2021 #InaugurationDay," another fan said. "Dude, can we talk about @ladygaga's dress? That was amazing," someone else said.
But that's not all Twitter had to say about the artist's look. Many started drawing comparisons between the dove on Gaga's dress to the mockingjay symbol from The Hunger Games. Several others pointed out that Gaga's look had major Game of Thrones vibes. Comparisons aside though, most agreed that Gaga's dress was absolutely perfect for the event.
Prior to the inauguration, Gaga stepped out in a stunning white Givenchy cape dress yesterday, which she wore while greeting National Guard soldiers in Washington D.C.
