We finally have a first look at Netflix's Malcolm & Marie, which follows a director (John David Washington) and his girlfriend (Zendaya) whose relationship is tested after they return home from the premiere of his latest project and await the critical response to it. In the almost three-minute trailer, we see the characters struggle through an unspoken transgression on Malcolm's part, which Marie cannot get over. We also see Zendaya have a real fashion moment, wearing a gorgeous red-carpet-ready gown. She wears a stunning crinkle dress that features keyhole cutouts and thin straps. In fact, we could totally see Zendaya wear this metallic number on a red carpet in real life! Her actual stylist, Law Roach, also styled the her looks in the movie.
The black-and-white film was written, directed, and produced by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and was shot at Feldman Architecture's Caterpillar House in Carmel, CA. The film is set to premiere on Netflix and in select theaters on Feb. 5, and we cannot wait to see what else Zendaya wears in the movie. In the meantime, watch the trailer and take in that stunning dress from all angles ahead.
