Queen Letizia of Spain looked chic as ever in an asymmetrical plaid skirt on Tuesday in Madrid with her husband King Felipe VI.

The royal mother-of-two, 48, paired the skirt with a black blouse with a v-neck and black belt as she arrived at Spanish Royal Tapestry Factory as it celebrated its 300th anniversary.

She previously wore the skirt from Massimo Dutti in October last year, when opening the Vocational Training courses for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Queen Letizia carried a black back with a snake-skin pattern on the top and gold hardware.

She wore pointed black heels and silver hooped earrings with a gold ring decorated with a circle on her index finger.

The royal pulled her brunette locks back into an elegant and chic bun as she protected herself with a white face covering amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Queen Letizia opted for netural make-up, with a darker brown eyeshadow used along her lash line to accentuate her eyes.

Meanwhile, King Felipe opted for a sophisticated grey suit with a pink shirt and purple patterned tie with brown shoes.

Amid the ongoing pandemic, the royal couple have kept busy as they attended an awards ceremony on Monday.

They attended the ninth edition of the annual Honorary Ambassadors ceremony alongside the likes of Javier Solana, the President of the Prado Museum Foundation.

They presented the Honorary Ambassador awards to the winners, which included Belen Garijo, head of health division for German pharmaceutical group Merck.

Queen Letizia, who shares daughters Leonor, Princess of Asturias, 15, and Infanta Sofía of Spain, 13, with Felipe, also chaired Spain's National Sports Awarding Ceremony at Pardo Palace earlier this month with her husband.

Also attending the ceremony were Spanish Culture and Sports Minister Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes and Spanish Secretary of State for Sports Irene Lozano.

Winners of the National Sports Awards included basketball player Juan Carlos Navarro, 40, and Venezuelan athlete Yulimar Rojas, 25.

Last month, the couple also attended the inauguration of the Helga de Alvear modern art museum in Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain.

King Felipe and Letizia presided over the scholarship presentation, which were awarded by the European Union and Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
