Winter dipping in Lake Champlain to raise money for Spectrum Youth Services.
BURLINGTON [March 12, 2021] — The Red Hot Chilly Dippers have initiated a Dip A Day for the month of March to raise funds to help our young people facing homelessness. Tove Ohlander at Tove by design had the honor to wrap fearless coldwater dippers in the sustainable denim/chambray work & play friendly Maker Skirt for one of their dips. These 5 Legendary Maker Skirts are now being auctioned out to highest bidder with all of the money going to support Spectrum. The skirts went in the icy Lake Champlain on Katharine Montstream, whom initiated the entire Red Hot Chilly Dippers movement in Vermont, Jennifer Harris, Kristin Alosso, Elzy Wick, and Jen Green.
Katharine Montstream says “Spectrum has done so much for our community. Specifically they have helped young people experiencing hardships find housing, provide meals, offering help with school, finding counseling and help with job searches. Spectrum has been an incredible beacon of light for teens facing homelessness.”
