Say Yes To The Prom Dress Drive is back for it’s seventh annual year. This is an event that was created for high school girls that cannot afford a prom dress. The only requirement is that she is registered in school.

“2015 was our first year doing Say Yes to the Prom Dress and it has become bigger and bigger every year. In March of 2020 we gave 1000 dresses to 1000 girls. Then the pandemic hit and so this year is a bit different and we will be giving away 400 dresses to 400 girls to lower the amount of people coming in due to COVID regulations,” said Shalonda Lewis, Candy Girl Entertainment CEO.

“We not only give away dresses, but we also help with shoes, accessories and give vouchers for hair, makeup and nails by stylists at Bethany Beauty School,” added Lewis.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Ice Event Center located at 1148 NE 36th street in OKC, OK 73111. Masks are required and COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced. All girls registered in Oklahoma are qualified for this dress drive.

Those who register must be a current high school student and will only be allowed to bring one person with them(preferably a parent). No adults will be allowed to shop for someone not in attendance.

To register for this event please visit sayyestothepromdress7.eventbrite.com
