On International Women's Day, which took place on March 8, First Lady Jill Biden wore a lemon-print dress that many eagle-eyed fans think was a nod to Meghan Markle.
For an event in which Biden partnered with the State Department in honoring 21 women from around the world with the International Women of Courage Award, the first lady sported a light blue, short sleeved, A-line dress from Oscar de la Renta.
The dress featured a lemony, Springtime print that Markle fans recognized immediately.
Just a few weeks ago, Markle sported a similar dress to a Spotify event where she was spotted alongside husband Prince Harry. Since Biden wore the dress just one day following the explosive Oprah interview that put the royal family in the spotlight, many are speculating it was done on purpose.
In late February, Markle wore the lemon-print dress at Spotify's Stream On event. The fruit on the dress symbolizes abundance, prosperity, and good luck, Bustle reports.
Just this week, Markle and Prince Harry appeared in an interview with Oprah during which they revealed what it was like for them to leave their duties as royal family members.
In the interview, Markle opened up about her mental health struggles as well as her concerns with conversations that came up amongst royal family members concerning the color of son Archie's skin before he was born.
The interview led to much controversy, even causing a rift that led to Piers Morgan leaving his post at "Good Morning Britain."
