Adele is “thirty free” and fashionable as ever.
The “Hello” hitmaker celebrated her 33rd birthday on Wednesday by sharing a trio of summery Instagram snaps, including a no-makeup shot in artful black and white and another of herself taking a dip in a long-sleeved swimsuit with a Pucci-style print.
But it’s the third photo that grabbed our attention style-wise; in it, Adele joyfully twirls in a tie-dye silk Altuzarra dress with an off-the-shoulder silhouette and body-conscious fit.
Priced at $2,795 but currently sold out, the New York designer’s “Shibuya” dress is made using the Japanese art of shibori, a “weeklong manual process where fabrics are precisely stitched and gathered, before being hand-dyed and dried,” per Altuzarra’s website.
The breezy style is also a striking departure from the looks Adele’s favored in the past; while she’s long loved a bateau neckline, the Grammy winner typically gravitates toward classic A-line gowns and structured black dresses.
With new music reportedly on the way, this could mark the start of a colorful new era for the “Someone Like You” singer.
