If you're an avid follower of the royals, you'll know that yesterday (24th May) proved to be quite a unique day in the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Just days into her latest tour with husband William, Kate Middleton got a chance to play DJ during a visit to the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit, a national centre of expertise in tackling violence. And a video has since emerged of the royal scratching records like a pro.
And though our ears were firmly on Kate's mixing skills, our eyes were most definitely pre-occupied by the gorgeous blue midi-skirt that the duchess wore for the occasion.
For the first day of engagements, she opted for a tonal cobalt blue ensemble, which paid homage to the Scottish flag, and included a a new pleated midi skirt by Hope Fashion, which featured an on-trend contrast asymmetric hem.
The satin pleated skirt retails for £95 and is currently available to pre-order, with its delivery date estimated as June 7th.
As with everything the duchess wears, we're sure that the skirt will sell out as soon as it becomes available, so we'd recommend adding yourself to the pre-order list now if you're keen.
The skirt is definitely a brilliant one to add a bit of colour to your summer wardrobe, and could be dressed up with a blazer (as Kate chose to do) or dressed down with a pair of sandals and a t-shirt.
Kate's DJ'ing ensemble also featured an affordable (and already sold out) £59.99 Zara blazer, which the mum-of-three also sported earlier this month on International Day of the Midwife.
